Oman Desert & Dunes Explorer
We begin departing Muscat heading inland towards Nizwa, Oman ancient capital. En route stop at Birkat Al Mouz date palm plantation and Al Hamra old village. Arrive Nizwa for lunch, then explore the famous Nizwa Fort and traditional souq. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Rise early for the drive up Jebel Shams, the highest peak in Oman at 3009m. Trek along the Balcony Walk for breathtaking views of Wadi Ghul, Oman Grand Canyon. Afternoon descent to a desert camp. Bonfire and stargazing in the evening.
Drive into the vast Wahiba Sands. Try sandboarding on the golden dunes and enjoy a camel ride. Visit a Bedouin family camp to experience authentic desert hospitality. Spend the night under the stars at a luxury desert camp.
Morning visit to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman most spectacular wadis with crystal-clear turquoise pools. Swim and snorkel in the natural pools. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the water. Afternoon drive to Muscat.
Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Muscat International Airport for your onward journey. Safe travels!
