Arrive at Muscat International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Evening welcome dinner at a traditional Omani restaurant featuring mezze and slow-cooked lamb. Your guide will brief you on the journey ahead.
Begin at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Continue to Muttrah Souq, one of the oldest markets in the Arabian Peninsula. Explore Old Muscat with its Portuguese-era forts and whitewashed palaces.
Drive to Bahla, home to one of Oman finest UNESCO-listed forts. Visit the ancient Falaj Daris, part of the 3000-year-old aflaj irrigation system. Afternoon at Jabrin Castle with its ornately painted ceilings.
Visit the UNESCO-listed site of Bat containing the largest collection of third-millennium BC tower tombs in the world. Over 100 beehive tombs dot the landscape. Continue to Al-Ayn for more Bronze Age ruins.
Early morning at Sinaw traditional market where Bedouin tribes gather to trade camels and handicrafts. Continue to Sur to visit the last working traditional dhow-building yard in Oman.
Afternoon drive to Ras al Jinz, one of the most important green turtle nesting sites in the Indian Ocean. After dark join a ranger-guided beach walk to witness green sea turtles emerging from the sea to lay eggs.
Final morning at Wadi Shab, a dramatic gorge with hidden turquoise pools and a secret cave waterfall accessible only by swimming. Return to Muscat for your departure flight.
